Welcome to the Mumbai AI Film Festival.
Hosted by LocalHost and Invideo, MAFF is India’s first festival celebrating filmmakers who are using artificial intelligence to tell stories in new ways.
In just three weeks, a group of twenty-somethings turned a bold idea into a global event - attracting over 1265 teams from across the world and flying 15 of those teams to Mumbai for an unforgettable three-day sprint.
The result was fourteen groundbreaking short films made with AI, premiered on the red carpet at the historic Royal Opera House.
From humanoid robots greeting Bollywood stars to a panel with the industry leaders on AI filmmaking, MAFF brought together the worlds of film and technology like never before.
More than a festival, it marked the start of a new era - where the next generation of filmmakers uses tomorrow’s tools to change how stories are made, shared, and experienced.
